Take this home and coat your chicken in a spice mix (do you see a pattern here) and cut your veg so that they will roast by the time the legs are ready. That means the sprouts in half, the onion into quarters (come on you did some math at least in primary school) and everything else into about four cm cubes and you put all this into the baking tray and put pretty pinches of salt and pepper over everything and dribble olive oil over as well. Into a hot oven and fifteen or twenty minutes later you have a roast dinner.

And just to keep your mum happy, as soon as you put the dinner in the oven; you put a pot of cold water on the stovetop and in there goes some frozen peas, or for a treat try broad beans, they are great on the tooth.

Now if you want to get tricky and there is somebody in the room that you have the hots for, then when you take the baking tray out of the oven you put everything onto another tray and put that in the now turned off oven to keep warm and you turn the heat under the baking tray, pour some white wine in there and with your by now familiar wooden spoon (hell dick they are dirt cheap in the Asian bits and pieces shop, go and buy one) and when you have dissolved all the sticky bits and pieces and the liquids are getting very low in there, you put in either a handful of flour or some cream and then you whisk it or stir it until it comes to sauce consistency (come on please tell me you do not have some tomato sauce in the cupboard for your weekly fish and chips).
