The right quantity of red chilies is the first requirement for its preparation. Generally, it’s better to use about 300 Kg of such chilies to prepare 1 Kg of beef. How To Prepare?

To begin with, you will have first to cut the galangal into small pieces. It is a native Indonesian spice, almost like ginger. It helps to give a strong taste. Then, make a paste of this along with onions, garlic, and other herbs as per your preference. This mixture should stick well onto the body of the meat. However, the bigger pieces of galangal do not mix easily. This can create disturbances while consuming the dish. So, be extra cautious and check that everything is cooked properly and is ready to eat.

Moreover, avoid making too large pieces of beef. Around 4cm squares with ½ cm thickness is more or less perfect for the item. Properly blend all the spice and mix well. You have to sauté everything on heat and then add coconut milk to it. Also, the addition of lemongrass increases the flavor. Now, put the beef into this mixture and cook for about 3 hours. You have to check in-between to see whether the meat is becoming softer. Continue to stir after simmering starts. Always prefer a medium flame to cook it. It may take a long time, but the result will surely suit your mouth.
