  • Three tablespoons of Hoisin Sauce
  • One tablespoon of Soya sauce
  • One tablespoon of Tomato ketchup or puree
  • One Tablespoon of Sake
  • One teaspoon of Rice vinegar
  • One and a half teaspoon of fresh lime juice
  • One tablespoon of Honey
  • Marinated Pork spare ribs
  • The special Chinese five-spice powder
  • Half teaspoon of finely chopped garlic
  • One teaspoon of finely chopped ginger roots
  • One cup of chopped shallots
  • Two tablespoons of the fresh chilies
  • One bowl of finely chopped bamboo shoot
  • One tablespoon of chopped local coriander leaves
  • Two tablespoons of sesame seeds

Steps To Make The Food

  • At first, put the pork ribs to boil with salt and pepper in a low flame.
  • Moreover, mix the hoisin sauce, Honey, ketchup, rice vinegar, soya sauce, and sake. Add on the ginger and garlic chops. You can even squeeze the fresh lime into this mixture.
  • Don’t overcook the ribs, as the boiling process is to release the stiffness. Thus, drain the pork spare ribs and allow to cool.
  • Mix the five-spice powder in hot oil to prepare the perfect consistency.
  • Marinate the pork ribs with the sauce mixture. Moreover, add on the five-spice powder oil to the ribs. 
  • Put it in the freezer for a minimum of two hours. A whole night marinates best for the dish. The meat pieces get the flavors of the spices.
  • Moreover, preheat the oven at 320 degrees Fahrenheit, and fill the broiler tray with water. Take a rack and grease it with oil or pork fat as per taste. 
  • Place the pork spare ribs on the rack individually. Thus, these are ready to go inside the oven.
  • Cook this in the oven for at least 40 minutes at a stretch. Moreover, add on remaining to marinate sauce on top of the ribs at intervals. 
  • Take it out in a container and add the remaining ingredients. Shallots, coriander, sesame seeds, and bamboo shoot adds to the flavor.
